Ben is pleased to announce the release of his first album of country and folk songs which have been written over the course of the past ten years. Though the recent lockdown has been unfortunate, a lot of time at home has given Ben no excuse not to record these songs. As the record has been produced in isolation, all profits made on each sale will be donated to NHS charities.
Ben’s debut album, Cold Hard Shoulder, features songs he has written over the course of the last decade, going right back to his early University days. The topics covered on this album are as varied as the centenary of the First World War, growing up and moving away from home, local politics, and love.
The first single from the album, I Never Liked Coffee Before You was released back in May and is available to listen to on Spotify now. It also received its premiere radio play on BBC Radio Lincolnshire as part of the BBC Upload campaign.
The full album was released on August 28th 2020 and you can watch the Livestream album launch, where Ben played all the songs on the record acoustically and told the stories behind each song, below.
You can order a copy of the album on vinyl and CD, or digitally from Bandcamp. There is also a small postage charge on all physical orders. All albums will be dispatched as close to the 28th August as possible, but you will also get a Digital Copy by email on that date to download and listen to.
As the proceeds from sales in 2020 will be donated to NHS charities. The more people who purchase a copy the lower the production costs will be and the more money Ben will be able to donate to charity.
If you have any questions about the album release or would like to contact Ben for an interview or further promotional activities related to the album please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
